NEED:
1 cup SR flour
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
pinch salt
1/2 cup butter
2/3 cup packed dark brown sugar
1/4 cup caster sugar
1 large egg plus yolk of 1 egg
2 tablespoons maple syrup
2 teaspoons vanilla essence
1 cup whole pecans
250 grams white chocolate chips
DO:
Melt butter and cook on Induction 6 stirring constantly until it browns slightly. Remove from heat and beat in sugars. Let cool to room temp.
Mix together flour, soda and salt. Set aside.
Stir egg and yolk into sugar mix. Add maple syrup and vanilla. Blend.
Fold into the flour mix.
Stir in nuts and choc chips.
Bake in greased square pan for about 20-25 minutes on fan forced 165oC until set in the middle. Leave in oven to cool.
Cut into bars, dust with icing sugar and try not to drool. Bet you can’t just eat one!
