Perfect accompaniment to BACON AND CORN CHOWDER.
NEED:
2 cups SR flour
½ cup room temp butter
2 teaspoons of baking powder
Grated Parmesan (1/2 – 1 cup)
Grated bought pack “Pizza” cheese (1/2 – 1 cup)
3 spring onions chopped
¼ – ½ cup buttermilk
1 beaten egg for glazing
DO:
Rub butter into flour and baking powder mix until like breadcrumbs.
Add cheeses, spring onions and enough buttermilk to form soft dough.
Roll out and cut into scones with cutter.
Place on baking paper in ring, overlapping each scone onto the next.
Brush with beaten egg.
Bake in Preheated oven for 10 minutes.
Use easi grill and brown for last five.
Serve immediately.
