FIVE SPICE MEATBALLS

Five Spice Sweet and Sour Meatballs

NEED:
1 egg white
70g soft bread crumbs
½ tsp five spice powder
Pinch salt
300g chuck steak cubed
Juice and zest 3 oranges
1 red chilli
2cm piece peeled ginger
2 cloves garlic
3 tbsp honey
2 tbsp cornflour
40g soy sauce
1 medium red capisum diced into bite sized pieces
1 medium green capsicum diced into bite sized pieces

DO:
Place egg white, bread crumbs, five spice, salt and meat into TM bowl and mince together for 8-10 seconds on speed 7.
With wet hands, shape into approximately 40-50 meatballs and arrange in Varoma dish and tray. Set aside.
Without washing bowl, place zest, chilli, ginger and garlic into TM bowl and mill for 10 seconds on speed 9.
Add remaining ingredients except capsicum and mix gently for 5 seconds on speed 4. Set Varoma into position and cook for 8 minutes at Varoma temperature on speed 3.
Remove meatballs from Varoma tray and place into basket. Add capsicum to sauce, insert steamer basket and cook a further 8 minutes at 90ºC on Reverse + speed 1.
Serve sauce over meatballs with steamed rice as a main meal, or serve with toothpicks as appetisers.
