Apple and Pear Pie
In little ole Perth we have just had the hottest April on record or something, so Autumn and comfort foods do seem a long way away…but I was craving an apple pie and although I have been blogging for a really long time…(long time!!) I have never created an apple pie recipe. So...
Little egg garden…hop a long bunny!
I have been frantic, AND I have cut my finger, so suddenly my typing is all out of whack…Seriously…who knew such a little thing could create so many problems??

Walnut Chocolate Thins
For me baking is just part of Christmas preparations and since blogging became part of my life (dare I say it) over 8 years ago, and as I was in need of a little choccie fix last week, these were perfect. Very easy. Will keep in the fridge, separated in layers by baking paper…wrap...
Festive Nut, Chocolate and Pretzel Mix
I have always been a sucker for the yin/yang, salty/sweet, snack at Christmas. I do remember as a child having nuts at Christmas as a treat. Now my life is one big edible treat….which actually is not a good thing for my waistline, but good for you, as I have...
Toasted and drizzled with more honey! Oh honey….
I hate to point this out, but this year is over. I mean practically. All but the shouting…and the partying, and the gift giving…so let me help you out. I did this last year as well, and it was a very popular post. But what to do this year?...
Crusty Rye Bread, cut too soon!
I love home made bread, and in the busy-ness that has become my life I often throw on a loaf, just to serve with salad and some sliced cold meat. Nothing quite beats the fragrance of a homebaked loaf. Fresh yeast is not essential, but there is no flavour or texture comparison...
Kneaders Raspberry Bread Pudding
On my recent trip to the USA, I encountered a restaurant based entirely around bread! Kneaders became my new favourite lunch place…we Knead one here…I need to knead, and I need to Kneaders! So in an effort to recreate their humbly named dessert of note; Bread Pudding,...

Kaffir Lime Panna Cotta pic by JulieO from FT
Well kids, its not often that I write something other than a recipe. Recipes are simple, pretty well a done deal once they have hit my table and/or stomach, and a no brainer…for me at least.
But in the scheme of things, there are a few constants...

Always crazy about food since she fed the neighborhood kids that first mud pie, (seasoned with a good dash of vegemite, a childhood Aussie fave!!) she now has a tribe of her own that she happily feeds whenever she can get them to sit down long enough. Her culinary experience ranges from Bangers ‘N Mash in London long ago…(and far far away) to attempts at Chinese banquets for her University ‘roomies’ in the USA to more recent culinary holidays to Singapore and Vietnam and now several years as a food consultant, recipe developer/writer and food eater and dreamer. Obsession can be a wonderful thing!
Ever resourceful and always hungry, and now the proud owner of a Thermomix, she can whip up a delicious storm in minutes, given half a chance. It is on her blogs that she shares her passion for food and the perfect cooking of it!
Professionally she works to bring to two major Australian Appliance companies, the best use of said appliances in the form of recipes. Always up for a personal demonstration, plans are afoot for a cooking tour in 2009, so look out for a Thermomix class near you! She can now live without her microplane for the first time in a cooking lifetime, she still can’t live without her Thermomix and she certainly can’t live without her blog comments…so make her day and leave a note!
