Huevos Rancheros
This has absolutely no Thermomix involved…but I put this instagram pic up on Facebook and was subsequently inundated with requests for the recipe…so here it is. Totally delicious and totally easy, especially if you have the Kleenmaid Induction cooktop.
SO…picture this. Monday...
Blue Cheese Salad Dressing
I have been completely off the radar with the production of my new book which I am told, should be out and about as soon as Father’s Day 2013…YAY. I am really excited about the pics, you are going to LOVE them…and hopefully the recipes as well of course! Lucky you…this...
Chili and Pumpkin Seed Pesto on Caprese Salad
I am on the fly…(nothing new there right?) Sunday night, the kids have come, eaten and gone. The dishwasher is going, the kitchen is clean, another big week is looming and I haven’t written up a recipe for the blog in 2 weeks. It doesn’t seem to get...
Spiced Orange Cranberry Sauce
I am a traditionalist when it comes to Christmas dining. I put it down to too many Christmasses in the USA, and to me there is nothing better than sliced turkey, gravy and lots of cranberry sauce. I am happy to eat it any time of year and often host a Christmas in July...
Tuscan Sun in a Dip!!
Well, no entertaining Christmas occasion is complete without the obligatory plate of dip and crackers/chips…and this will knock your guests socks off, if they are wearing them. I am gifting you this early. I had been saving it for the N.E.W. book that is on it’s way next year...
Chicken and Prawn Salad with Herbed Avo Mayo
This started out as part of a recipe for the upcoming Christmas season/classes/project. But after a few more recipes and playing around, I decided to go with something even more delicious…’is that possible?’ I hear you cry…well yes,...
Kaffir Lime Panna Cotta pic by JulieO from FT
Well kids, its not often that I write something other than a recipe. Recipes are simple, pretty well a done deal once they have hit my table and/or stomach, and a no brainer…for me at least.
But in the scheme of things, there are a few constants...
Salted Caramel Sauce with the best bought ice cream around.
Believe it or not, I like to cook less on the weekends, but at the same time, I still have to produce something of note each and every Sunday when I traditionally have the entire gang over for dinner. The first thing my eldest son says as he...
Celery Fennel Salt
I know; Do I really need to write a recipe for celery fennel salt? Isn’t it pretty self explanatory? Don’t you just add celery, fennel and salt?
Well….yes, so not earth shaking and in fact I devoted a whole double spread to flavoured salts in my now easy to purchase book For...
Curried Coconut and Chicken Soup
Soup season is upon us (has been here for a while now in our house!) This soup was one of the recipes used in the recent crazy successful Thai Thai Again classes. We may do a couple more in Perth yet…so hang in there…you may get the chance to see the whole menu.
What...

Always crazy about food since she fed the neighborhood kids that first mud pie, (seasoned with a good dash of vegemite, a childhood Aussie fave!!) she now has a tribe of her own that she happily feeds whenever she can get them to sit down long enough. Her culinary experience ranges from Bangers ‘N Mash in London long ago…(and far far away) to attempts at Chinese banquets for her University ‘roomies’ in the USA to more recent culinary holidays to Singapore and Vietnam and now several years as a food consultant, recipe developer/writer and food eater and dreamer. Obsession can be a wonderful thing!
Ever resourceful and always hungry, and now the proud owner of a Thermomix, she can whip up a delicious storm in minutes, given half a chance. It is on her blogs that she shares her passion for food and the perfect cooking of it!
Professionally she works to bring to two major Australian Appliance companies, the best use of said appliances in the form of recipes. Always up for a personal demonstration, plans are afoot for a cooking tour in 2009, so look out for a Thermomix class near you! She can now live without her microplane for the first time in a cooking lifetime, she still can’t live without her Thermomix and she certainly can’t live without her blog comments…so make her day and leave a note!
