Kaffir Lime Panna Cotta pic by JulieO from FT
Well kids, its not often that I write something other than a recipe. Recipes are simple, pretty well a done deal once they have hit my table and/or stomach, and a no brainer…for me at least.
But in the scheme of things, there are a few constants...
Celery Fennel Salt
I know; Do I really need to write a recipe for celery fennel salt? Isn’t it pretty self explanatory? Don’t you just add celery, fennel and salt?
Well….yes, so not earth shaking and in fact I devoted a whole double spread to flavoured salts in my now easy to purchase book For...
Thai Spicy Beef Curry
Simple in the extreme; this curry is amazing. I needed more beef in my diet…lots going on right now. (Seriously, you have NO idea!) I really needed to have something hot and spicy, and well, beefy. (Just ask my husband!)
I hope you are all proud owners of the new e-book that...
Curried Coconut and Chicken Soup
Soup season is upon us (has been here for a while now in our house!) This soup was one of the recipes used in the recent crazy successful Thai Thai Again classes. We may do a couple more in Perth yet…so hang in there…you may get the chance to see the whole menu.
What...
Curried Red Lentil Soup
Desperation strikes. Home from long O/S trip, no time (or inclination to cook), needing to blog, lest you think I have deserted you, and this is a tasty and hot little soup that is easily made in either HMP, or Thermomix. Winter is upon us in Perth it would seem; I was in NYC...
Instagram Minestrone….don’t you love it? (Instagram that is!)
It’s certainly wintery soup weather down under….if you are north of the equator, just make a mental note of this one for when the winds are howling, the snow is on the ground and you just want to curl up in front of the fire with...
Chorizo and Cabbage Soup
We finally had a cool day! And some rain…lots of it actually…so of course my culinary thoughts turned to soup! I had chorizo in my fridge (a stock standard staple at mine…love redundant alliteration as well) and so this was a natural progression. The marriage with steamed...
Morroccan Lamb Braise
I don’t want you being put off by the long list of ingredients on this one…just suck it up, print off the list (note Printer friendly version button now on each post…thank you Luke!) and go for it…you won’t regret it, really. It makes a LOT, so feel free to cut meat,...
Mexican Meatball Soup
Well I managed to make dinner, (and take a pic and write up the recipe!)…what a superstar! I am off to NSW tomorrow morning for 5 Celebrate and Bake classes…I had a final edit on For Foods Sake chock full of thermo methods and recipes this morning plus a photo shoot for...
Roasted Pumpkin, Garlic and Sage Soup with Lemon Parmesan Wafers
Are there too many soup recipes in the world?? Well not for me. It was rainy, dark and I hugged my couch in front of the heater for a great portion of the day…July revisited (unless you are northern hemisphere, in which case think November,...
Tenina Hmmn, liking the sound of a licorice all sort jelly…great idea....
Lilli Hmmmm, have just been searching for a licorice ice cream after a girlfriend has made ...
Tenina Thanks Megan…(she blushes…feeling a bit porky and not at all like the poster child fo...

Always crazy about food since she fed the neighborhood kids that first mud pie, (seasoned with a good dash of vegemite, a childhood Aussie fave!!) she now has a tribe of her own that she happily feeds whenever she can get them to sit down long enough. Her culinary experience ranges from Bangers ‘N Mash in London long ago…(and far far away) to attempts at Chinese banquets for her University ‘roomies’ in the USA to more recent culinary holidays to Singapore and Vietnam and now several years as a food consultant, recipe developer/writer and food eater and dreamer. Obsession can be a wonderful thing!
Ever resourceful and always hungry, and now the proud owner of a Thermomix, she can whip up a delicious storm in minutes, given half a chance. It is on her blogs that she shares her passion for food and the perfect cooking of it!
Professionally she works to bring to two major Australian Appliance companies, the best use of said appliances in the form of recipes. Always up for a personal demonstration, plans are afoot for a cooking tour in 2009, so look out for a Thermomix class near you! She can now live without her microplane for the first time in a cooking lifetime, she still can’t live without her Thermomix and she certainly can’t live without her blog comments…so make her day and leave a note!
