The Pavlova is snowing!!Just a quickie and NOOO recipe I’m afraid, though of course I had to do the Aussie thing and make a Pavlova complete with Kiwi fruit, imported Passionfruit pulp (imported by moi!) blueberries, raspberries and strawberries, ALL available, ALL year round in these United States!!...
Well dear Reader…(s?)
The time has come to make yourselves known. Although it sounds a little paranoid, or possibly vain, I have put some thought into leaving this blog up as a recipe resource, but not adding to it…yes, deserting my blog for other pastimes! (NO, not dessert-ing…deserting…as...
Thanks for all your kind wishes for my ‘little’ boy who is well on the road to recovery and happens to be six feet 3! It has been harrowing, but educational and we are happy that all is going to be well!
As he left for work yesterday morning, my DH asked hopefully if I was putting a blog...
Well I always thought so, but now I know so…yes I have joined another cooking community and they are cooking with gas (and induction, and steam oven, and Thermomix, and Cross Fire and so on and so on!!!) They’re a friendly bunch with heaps of great food and recipe websites, so check it all...
Always partial to a bit of daal with most things curry, this is a stunning dip with naan bread (see future posting) Great with curry, by itself with steamed rice or just serve with steamed veggies to add a flavour boost. You can add some cooked chicken to this and serve with rice, lemon wedges and chopped...
Well if you haven’t heard or figured it out already, I am totally cheesy and so is this post. A nice crispy biscuit base and top and then a creamy, buttery, cheesey, vanilla-ery middle that requires at least 2 licks of the fingers! Oh what more could a foodie ask for really? Whilst this isn’t...
OK…after umm-ing and ahh-ing I finally did it! I don’t know why I waited so long! WOW, what an amazing device. It is food processor, steam oven, induction all rolled into one. Of course there are things that can be done in both the steam oven and on the induction that cannot be done in the...
This recipe is already on here, but I have been getting a lot of hits for it, so I thought I would take a few photos, and give you a bit of a tutorial on the whole process. Couldn’t be easier…when you know how!
SO: Here goes
NEED:
½ chicken breast per person.
Stuffing of choice. In this...
OK, OK, I admit it…I have been asked by so many people to put this up and today my clients asked me again, so I thought I’d better get on it! We had a lunch today and my stock standard to showcase the Induction is the risotto, so I’ve put up a few photos…thanks ladies! Now…remember...
Well we all know it’s coming…the dreaded burnt toast with a scraping of butter, some aging fruit salad with bits of skin still on, a cold, slightly undercooked egg, swimming in bacon grease, and possibly a lukewarm coffee or milo! Yes, Mother’s Day breakfast in bed. Sit up and ENJOY!

Always crazy about food since she fed the neighborhood kids that first mud pie, (seasoned with a good dash of vegemite, a childhood Aussie fave!!) she now has a tribe of her own that she happily feeds whenever she can get them to sit down long enough. Her culinary experience ranges from Bangers ‘N Mash in London long ago…(and far far away) to attempts at Chinese banquets for her University ‘roomies’ in the USA to more recent culinary holidays to Singapore and Vietnam and now several years as a food consultant, recipe developer/writer and food eater and dreamer. Obsession can be a wonderful thing!
Ever resourceful and always hungry, and now the proud owner of a Thermomix, she can whip up a delicious storm in minutes, given half a chance. It is on her blogs that she shares her passion for food and the perfect cooking of it!
Professionally she works to bring to two major Australian Appliance companies, the best use of said appliances in the form of recipes. Always up for a personal demonstration, plans are afoot for a cooking tour in 2009, so look out for a Thermomix class near you! She can now live without her microplane for the first time in a cooking lifetime, she still can’t live without her Thermomix and she certainly can’t live without her blog comments…so make her day and leave a note!
