Gluten Free Overnight Almond Pancakes
It would appear that gluten intolerance is the new black…and our family is no exception. My daughter has some weird reactions to eating gluten, so although not crazily seeking every gluten free option available, I am finding that breakfast is the meal with the...
Dried Chia Seed Cereal
Dried Chia Seed Cereal
As previous posts have mentioned, I am all for convenience and as school starts again (can you believe we are Term 2 with winter looming already??) and as the mornings down under are getting cooler, and as my daughter...
Lime and Raspberry Flan
Seriously I cannot go past the combo of Lime and Raspberries. Be it a dessert or a drink, count me in. My darling sis has a gorgeous lime tree that is laden with fruit right now, so lucky me! I get the fruits of her hard labours….of course she gets a little in return, like...
Raspberry and Lime Spongey Mess
After an easy dessert? Got a sponge cake in the cupboard? (That was a joke…but you can run down to the shops right?) Most of this recipe can be quickly made and kept in the fridge for a desparate occasion…or go ahead, make a plan and make it as though you meant to…but...
Inca Berry Cinnamon Scroll Loaf
I discovered Inca berries at my local whole food supplier…and I am LOVING them…they are a tart little version of a raisin, sour, filled with little seeds, quite palatable on their own…and I discovered quite good for you…well, very good for you actually! I have...
FIni Olive Oil Chocolate Mousse Tart
I know I can carry the chocolate thing too far sometimes…take for example the Crio Bru grounds in my Avocado dip…(don’t knock it until you try it!) But there really isnt a down side to a chocolate pastry base, filled with a chocolate mousse filling, and then,...
Christmas Stollen
I cannot believe it; I have blinked and Christmas 2011 is here! Phew, what a year…can I just recap?
Turned 50, but don’t tell anyone! I went to Phuket with the whole family (and that in itself is a story!)
Went to Dubai and worked with George Calombaris, as my alter ego Candy...
Blueberry Maple Custard Tart
Well I made it…yes the tart, but I made it in the City to Surf…and it was fun. Not so bad after all, and great to catch up with a bunch of Thermomix girls…crazy bunch. I admit I was glad to park it on the train on the way home, I am not as young as I used to be! Thoughts...
Serve with Orange Creme Patisserie
Low Fat Upside Down Blueberry Orange Cakes
Now I know that Tenina.com and ‘Low Fat’ are mutually exclusive, but I am on a mission! I am sure if you have delved into the black depths of this site you will have found several recipes with no story and...
Mulberry and Almond Ice Cream
Mulberry and Almond Ice Cream with Mulberry Syrup
Its official…summer weather has snuck up on us here in Perth. My kids went out on the boat today and came home decidedly pinker than when they left…I on the other hand, preferred to stay on dry land and do what...

Always crazy about food since she fed the neighborhood kids that first mud pie, (seasoned with a good dash of vegemite, a childhood Aussie fave!!) she now has a tribe of her own that she happily feeds whenever she can get them to sit down long enough. Her culinary experience ranges from Bangers ‘N Mash in London long ago…(and far far away) to attempts at Chinese banquets for her University ‘roomies’ in the USA to more recent culinary holidays to Singapore and Vietnam and now several years as a food consultant, recipe developer/writer and food eater and dreamer. Obsession can be a wonderful thing!
Ever resourceful and always hungry, and now the proud owner of a Thermomix, she can whip up a delicious storm in minutes, given half a chance. It is on her blogs that she shares her passion for food and the perfect cooking of it!
Professionally she works to bring to two major Australian Appliance companies, the best use of said appliances in the form of recipes. Always up for a personal demonstration, plans are afoot for a cooking tour in 2009, so look out for a Thermomix class near you! She can now live without her microplane for the first time in a cooking lifetime, she still can’t live without her Thermomix and she certainly can’t live without her blog comments…so make her day and leave a note!
