Nurture the Kid in You...Cardamom Kisses!
Honey Cardamom Ice Cream
Dark Chocolate Cardamom Kiss
You know me, LOVE ice cream, particularly home made…and when there are about 4 ingredients…even better! (Well that’s if you don’t include the dipping ingredients.)
A little...
Well this post had to happen sooner or later…and I guess it’s officially sooner! I have managed to go through all my posts and look what I found! I could start a tart and pie shop, clearly! Any potential partners out there, send me a message and I’m ready to go!
First up in my self...
Rhubarb Strawberry Pie
Blink and its gone!
(Don’t care what the vanilla has ‘bean’…what is it now??) I am on my first day of leave and the fragrance of a Rhubarb and Strawberry Pie with Vanilla Bean Pastry is wafting through the air as I write. It is almost done and smells absolutely...
Slice-O-Choc!
Just as I get nominated (and voted for many times…thank you!) I run into so much work that I have no time to create, let alone blog about creating! So in a feeble attempt to keep the banner high, this is a blog about more than just a recipe…its my current claim to fame. This...
Forest Berry Tart
Browned butter just sounds delish doesn’t it?
This tart was so yum, that it disappeared within minutes of arriving in the work kitchen…an all time record perhaps. Glad I nabbed a slice at home!
The berries could be fresh or frozen but need to be quite tart, (pardon the pun)...
Lime Lemon Posset with Raspberry Mayo
Lime, Lemon Posset fresh from freezer
Inspired by my trip to New Zealand and the Wai Restaurant’s Executive chef and owner Martin James demo to all us Thermomix enthusiasts, I knew a Rasberry Mayonnaise could be done, and it was worth the effort…it was...
Friand with Glaced Orange Slice
For the uninitiated, these are a ‘posh’ muffin, and well worth every calorie! The oval shape helps the friand rise and a hot oven is essential. These are a must with fresh hot coffee for brunch…enjoy!
Friands
NEED:
280g sugar
150g almonds
50g plain flour

Always crazy about food since she fed the neighborhood kids that first mud pie, (seasoned with a good dash of vegemite, a childhood Aussie fave!!) she now has a tribe of her own that she happily feeds whenever she can get them to sit down long enough. Her culinary experience ranges from Bangers ‘N Mash in London long ago…(and far far away) to attempts at Chinese banquets for her University ‘roomies’ in the USA to more recent culinary holidays to Singapore and Vietnam and now several years as a food consultant, recipe developer/writer and food eater and dreamer. Obsession can be a wonderful thing!
Ever resourceful and always hungry, and now the proud owner of a Thermomix, she can whip up a delicious storm in minutes, given half a chance. It is on her blogs that she shares her passion for food and the perfect cooking of it!
Professionally she works to bring to two major Australian Appliance companies, the best use of said appliances in the form of recipes. Always up for a personal demonstration, plans are afoot for a cooking tour in 2009, so look out for a Thermomix class near you! She can now live without her microplane for the first time in a cooking lifetime, she still can’t live without her Thermomix and she certainly can’t live without her blog comments…so make her day and leave a note!
