Golden Fish Curry and Rice
OK, so we’re supposed to eat more fish, and I have to admit, I don’t eat anywhere near enough, I am way too busy testing recipes that normally don’t have fish as the starring ingredient…but this is one of my older recipes that appeared in last year’s...
Tom Yum with Prawns
I have wanted to do this for ages. I absolutely love Tom Yum and always made it with a bought paste, until now! A bit of investigation, a little tweaking, and here we have it. The paste is a recipe in its own right and of course will keep for ages in an airtight jar in the fridge...
Well here I go again…the fruit in the salad routine! Can’t help it, just adds that piquancy that a salad needs. This salad is quick, to the point and totally great to increase or decrease to suit the numbers you are feeding. Add more spinach, avocado, prawns, peanuts, and/or pineapple to suit.
A...
Watercress, Brocollini and Pomegranate Salad
You know me and fruit in salad…I think my kids have even stopped complaining about fruit showing up in a savoury salad because they are either;
A) resigned to the fact,
B) used to it or
C) enjoy it themselves now.
Colleagues are not so good with it, but...
Char Sui Pork Bun, De-Constructed!
WARNING: Long ingredient list…but don’t be put off!
You could call this ‘De-constructed Pork Buns or Pot Stickers’…almost. As you know (if you read this blog regularly), I am into anything that is easy and quick, can be adapted to feed...
Chilli Cheesy Scones
I have been completely snowed at work, I mean I am not even Twittering…well not as manically as usual anyway. And might I add it’s a thankless task, insanely cooking day and night, night and day as though every recipe in the world has to be Thermomixed! Sometimes, I...
Chicken Kaukswe
I have made this many times over the years and have added a few touches here and there…needed a blog post this week, got invited to bring a dish tonight to friends, and voila, two birds with one stone. Here we have Chicken Kaukswe, a Burmese (P.C. Myanmar) curry, very...
Chorizo Quesadilla with Lime
Having returned from Singapore with more baggage than I left with (and I’m not talking about the check in kind), largely because I ate my way through as much food as possible in the two weeks…I am now contrite…time to pay up. But then, I did tell you...
Thai Beef Salad
Sorry, its Friday afternoon at the end of a long week, and so I am not only tired, but silly to go along with it! Thai Beef Salad is one of my favorites and lately I have been on a mission to find a nice one in a restaurant that I could rely on to deliver the taste hit that I crave…no...
Chorizo and Lime Fajitas
If it is Mexican, Thai, Italian, involves cheese, (or as you know can be classed as dessert), I am there! This is Mexcian flavored and involves cheese, so a big scorer…plus with lovely weather, this is great for a day by the pool. I have been looking at Christmas recipes...

Always crazy about food since she fed the neighborhood kids that first mud pie, (seasoned with a good dash of vegemite, a childhood Aussie fave!!) she now has a tribe of her own that she happily feeds whenever she can get them to sit down long enough. Her culinary experience ranges from Bangers ‘N Mash in London long ago…(and far far away) to attempts at Chinese banquets for her University ‘roomies’ in the USA to more recent culinary holidays to Singapore and Vietnam and now several years as a food consultant, recipe developer/writer and food eater and dreamer. Obsession can be a wonderful thing!
Ever resourceful and always hungry, and now the proud owner of a Thermomix, she can whip up a delicious storm in minutes, given half a chance. It is on her blogs that she shares her passion for food and the perfect cooking of it!
Professionally she works to bring to two major Australian Appliance companies, the best use of said appliances in the form of recipes. Always up for a personal demonstration, plans are afoot for a cooking tour in 2009, so look out for a Thermomix class near you! She can now live without her microplane for the first time in a cooking lifetime, she still can’t live without her Thermomix and she certainly can’t live without her blog comments…so make her day and leave a note!
