Dutch Donuts with Orange Jelly
There is not much that can make me pass up a fresh, hot donut if offered…and this recipe from a friend of mine has been raising money for schools, sporting clubs, church organisations, from their kitchen to their whole township for years. They have been known to make...
Banana Tres Leches Cake
I am a sweet tooth…ask anyone. I would rather skip the entree and move straight to the dessert menu. I am always disappointed at a restaurant that only serves the standard ice cream in 3 flavors, a brownie fudge thing and possibly a lemon thing. Deeply disappointed. I often...
Banana Breakfast Cookies with almonds and linseed
I am not a big breakfast eater…and we all know I start my day with Crio Bru these days as my breakfast of choice…but I do still have a hungry couple of boys, nay men in the house. Tired of always cleaning up massive cooked breakfast dishes as they...
Parmesan Sage Shortbread
It all about the cheese in the end…please buy a great Australian Parmesan for this recipe and you won’t be sorry…seriously delish…I have eaten about 8 of them just as I am writing this post. (I WILL eat the salad, I WILL eat the salad….) A great little nibble, a bit...
Fontina Asparagus Tart
Quick lunch? Late Breakfast? Lazy Sunday Brunch? This is a winner on all scores….so whip it up, and you may find you will be doing similar things again and again. (Deeply impressive to the eaters….as expressed to me this weekend!) I had it cooked, and on the table in less...
Cold Chilli Noodles….with all the fixings!
Someone asked me for this…cannot remember who…are you out there? They were hoping to approximate those horrible noodles the kids eat I think, ‘Mee Goreng’ and I am not ashamed to say it, my 16 year old eats them like there is no tomorrow....
Crio Bru Pavlova Stack
I made this for my dear old dad’s birthday. I had been planning such a creation for while, ever since seeing a picture on Pinterest which I pinned (yes folks, yet another social networking thing I have become enamoured with!) So this is a bit of copy, but yet my own invention…Happy...
Christmas Stollen
I cannot believe it; I have blinked and Christmas 2011 is here! Phew, what a year…can I just recap?
Turned 50, but don’t tell anyone! I went to Phuket with the whole family (and that in itself is a story!)
Went to Dubai and worked with George Calombaris, as my alter ego Candy...
Pecan Dacquoise with Orange Chocolate Cream
Developed for the Celebrate and Bake cooking class menu, this is so delicious, that you will be making it again and again….and again! It is not difficult, but does take some planning. You should look at making it a few hours prior to serving as it improves...
Pistachio Marzipan Christmas Trees
Well there really is no need to keep mentioning it I fear…but if you like, bury your head in the sand and pretend it isn’t upon us again. Hopefully these may inspire you to get cracking and get your Christmas on! I love Christmas and I decorate like a mad woman,...
Tenina Hmmn, liking the sound of a licorice all sort jelly…great idea....
Lilli Hmmmm, have just been searching for a licorice ice cream after a girlfriend has made ...

Always crazy about food since she fed the neighborhood kids that first mud pie, (seasoned with a good dash of vegemite, a childhood Aussie fave!!) she now has a tribe of her own that she happily feeds whenever she can get them to sit down long enough. Her culinary experience ranges from Bangers ‘N Mash in London long ago…(and far far away) to attempts at Chinese banquets for her University ‘roomies’ in the USA to more recent culinary holidays to Singapore and Vietnam and now several years as a food consultant, recipe developer/writer and food eater and dreamer. Obsession can be a wonderful thing!
Ever resourceful and always hungry, and now the proud owner of a Thermomix, she can whip up a delicious storm in minutes, given half a chance. It is on her blogs that she shares her passion for food and the perfect cooking of it!
Professionally she works to bring to two major Australian Appliance companies, the best use of said appliances in the form of recipes. Always up for a personal demonstration, plans are afoot for a cooking tour in 2009, so look out for a Thermomix class near you! She can now live without her microplane for the first time in a cooking lifetime, she still can’t live without her Thermomix and she certainly can’t live without her blog comments…so make her day and leave a note!
