Mushroom Pizza!
I went to the markets recently and couldn’t help myself…they had the most amazingly huge field mushrooms ever seen. I personally love mushrooms, but the family could take them or leave them. What they DO love is pizza, so that is where this idea originated. Quicker than a...
Christmas Sugar Plum Salad?
Ever since I spent nearly five years in the USA as a youngster (!) I have loved fruit in salads…It seems to be something they do extraordinarily well and so even after all these years I am still playing around with the idea. I LOVE mango in a green salad that sports...
Quiche with Sage Flowers
When in doubt, make quiche. Serve with jacket potatoes and salad and everybody’s happy! I just could not go shopping again, not for a single thing. I feel like the supermarket is my home away from home as it is, and so had a look in my almost bare fridge and voila; Everything...
Potato, Pecorino and Pepper Soup
Soup is probably my favourite thing to make in the Thermomix. We always were a big soup family, but now it is the most requested weekend lunch item! I really can never go back to canned soup. Tried and failed! There is something about putting in a few ingredients, adding...
P8...Eight Flavours Pesto Pasta Salad
Now it is the pasta itself that has eight flavours…and if Adriano can call his amazing one flavoured Vanilla Thriller a V8, then I figure I can call this the P8 as I’m guessing the salad has a whole lot more flavours than eight, (given the pasta has its...
Brie, Pesto and Potato Galette
Quick midweek dinner, great brunch option or just nice lunch with a fresh salad and crusty bread. As usual, I bake, I photograph, I blog! From my home to yours, feel free to adapt this with any toppings of choice, throw in a different pesto, use walnuts, almonds, or seeds...
Buttering the Dough
Oven Ready Scrolls
Ready to Eat
I am hoping that although a pedestrian recipe, this will appease those who seem to call the office regarding said Cheesey Mite Scrolls…and whilst I am all for Vegemite (used to eat it by the spoonful in my wasted youth) on this occasion I omitted...
Seeded Cheesey Scone Ring
Not sexy in any way, more of a mumsy recipe, but warm and homey like a pair of fluffy slippers. Cold weather has hit the western part of Australia, and so comfort food is on the menu in most homes, including mine…and of course, I am the penultimate mumsy, so this recipe...
Leek and Four Cheeses Flan
Well it is a bit of a cop out, Thermomix consultants received this recipe earlier in the month, but I am off to Darwin and Alice with Cyndi O’Meara come Sunday morning, I have the flu (will not get sick, will not get sick) and of course life stops for no one…so...
Pumpkin Gnocchi unplugged
Ready to Eat with Sage Brown Butter
Well its become a passion…overnight, just like that, boom! I am a gnocchi groupie. I have to confess I have never really enjoyed gnocchi, little pellets of flour and something else. How unappealing is that? Clearly I had never experienced...
Tenina Hmmn, liking the sound of a licorice all sort jelly…great idea....
Lilli Hmmmm, have just been searching for a licorice ice cream after a girlfriend has made ...
Tenina Thanks Megan…(she blushes…feeling a bit porky and not at all like the poster child fo...
Megan Oh T, so glad i tried this stuff, its tasty (i do add a sachel of Natvia) but i notic...
Always crazy about food since she fed the neighborhood kids that first mud pie, (seasoned with a good dash of vegemite, a childhood Aussie fave!!) she now has a tribe of her own that she happily feeds whenever she can get them to sit down long enough. Her culinary experience ranges from Bangers ‘N Mash in London long ago…(and far far away) to attempts at Chinese banquets for her University ‘roomies’ in the USA to more recent culinary holidays to Singapore and Vietnam and now several years as a food consultant, recipe developer/writer and food eater and dreamer. Obsession can be a wonderful thing!
Ever resourceful and always hungry, and now the proud owner of a Thermomix, she can whip up a delicious storm in minutes, given half a chance. It is on her blogs that she shares her passion for food and the perfect cooking of it!
Professionally she works to bring to two major Australian Appliance companies, the best use of said appliances in the form of recipes. Always up for a personal demonstration, plans are afoot for a cooking tour in 2009, so look out for a Thermomix class near you! She can now live without her microplane for the first time in a cooking lifetime, she still can’t live without her Thermomix and she certainly can’t live without her blog comments…so make her day and leave a note!
