Inca berries

When fresh these bright yellow berries are about the size of a small tomato and are wrapped in a papery covering as they ripen. They are known as Cape Gooseberries when fresh and are slightly sour but delicious. Once they are dried they are known as Inca berries, alluding to their original place of origin, South America. They can be replaced in recipes with raisins.
