Place orange juice and pitted dates into the Thermomix bowl and cook 5 min/70°C/speed 1. Remove from bowl and set aside to cool.
Preheat oven to 200°C and line a tray with baking paper. Set aside.
Place all remaining ingredients into the Thermomix bowl and mix 12 sec/Interval/dough setting. Add the cooled date mixture and combine 12 sec/Interval/dough setting.
Tip out onto floured Silpat mat and gently roll out to 5 cm thick. Cut scones and place onto prepared tray. Use as much flour as you require as these are quite delicate.
Brush with a little milk or egg wash and bake 10–12 minutes until well risen and golden.
Serve with jam and cream. Natch. And maybe a cup of tea or brewed chocolate.
