Place buttermilk, yeast, salt, sugar and butter into mixing bowl and warm for 2 min/37°C/speed 2.
Leave in bowl for at least 30 minutes or until yeast is clearly active.
Add remaining ingredients and blend for 10 sec/speed 5.
Scrape down sides of bowl and repeat if necessary.
Ladle spoonfuls onto buttered and heated waffle iron and cook as appliance directs.
Serve with fresh fruit of choice, yoghurt, your favourite ice cream, cream, real maple syrup, coulis or any toppings of choice.
