  1. To roast a vanilla bean, place into a cold oven set to 200°C and roast exactly 10 minutes. The house will smell amazing. I usually do a couple of beans when I toast nuts. Easy. Then store in ziploc bag in the spice drawer or pantry.

  2. Place sugar and vanilla bean into TM bowl and mill 10 sec/speed 10.

  3. Add butter and flour and mix 10 sec/speed 6 until resembles breadcrumbs.

  4. Add water through hole in lid while you continue to mix 22 sec/dough setting/Interval.

  5. As soon as the dough starts to form a ball, stop and remove pastry from bowl onto lightly floured baking mat. Roll and use as directed.
