Tenina.com's Apple Cakes With Caramel Sauce



  1. Preheat oven to 160ºC. Butter an 8 hole mini loaf tin and set aside.

  2. Place sugar into Thermo bowl and mill 10 sec/speed 10.

  3. Add butter and mix 1 min/speed 3. Scrape down sides of bowl.

  4. Add eggs, flour, baking powder and milk and mix 10 sec/speed 6.

  5. Scrape down sides of bowl and mix 5 sec/speed 5 if necessary.

  6. Divide cake batter between holes and smooth surfaces with the back of a wet spoon.

  7. Peel and quarter apples. Thinly slice each quarter and arrange on top of each cake.

  8. Brush with warmed apricot jam and bake for 30-35 minutes or until risen and skewer comes out clean.

  9. Sauce; place all ingredients into TM bowl and cook 7 min/Varoma/speed 3, with MC off.Blend 5 sec/speed 6.


Drizzle cake with Caramel brandy sauce and whipped cream. Serve Warm.
