The Thermomix TM7 Is Here—Should You Upgrade?

We've all seen the news: there's a shiny new Thermomix in town! Take a look at it in all its glory here.

Will I be getting one? Hopefully!
Will I still be using my older models? Absolutely!

What’s New With the TM7?

💡 Smart Technology: Improved temperature control, a sleeker interface, and now 20+ cooking functions. Because 19 just wasn’t enough.

🖤 Elegant Design: It’s rocking a stylish black base with an insulated mixing bowl—cool to the touch (for when you inevitably forget it’s hot).

📺 Larger Display: The 10-inch multi-touch screen makes scrolling recipes feel like using a fancy tablet... that also chops onions.

🔥 Open Cooking Mode: Cook up to 100°C without knife rotation—perfect for delicate ingredients like seafood and meatballs. Finally, a way to stop your dinner from turning into mush.

🥦 Enhanced Steaming Space: The Varoma® just leveled up—now with 45% more space. That’s a lot of dumplings.

🔇 Silent Motor: The new motor is whisper-quiet, meaning no more waking the baby… or interrupting your kitchen gossip sessions.

📌 Customizable Home Screen: Now you can pin your go-to recipes, because no one wants to scroll endlessly for their favourite choc chip cookies.

Just Bought a TM6? Don’t Panic.

If you just bought a TM6, you might be feeling a little… well, robbed. But Vorwerk has you covered:

"Customers who purchase the Thermomix® TM6 at full price shortly before the TM7 pre-announcement can withdraw within the statutory 14-day period. Additional goodwill arrangements are in place for recent TM6 buyers."

So, if your TM6 is fresh out of the box, you might have options.

My thoughts?

Should You Buy the TM7?

Well, no one asked… okay, fine, some of you did! And I’ll admit—I’m a sucker for the shiny, new, and improved. The TM7 looks effortlessly cool, and since it’s literally my job to stay ahead of the game, I’ll probably grab one.

But should you? Honestly… probably not.

If your current Thermomix is making magic in your kitchen, you don’t need to stress. FOMO is real, but let’s be honest—this thing isn’t folding your laundry or tucking your kids into bed.

💡 Fun fact: Vorwerk tends to tweak and improve new models after launch, based on early feedback. So, if you’re on the fence, waiting might not be a bad idea.

One Thing I Can Guarantee…

My recipes will work across all models. Whether you're rocking the TM31, TM5, TM6, or the new TM7, you can keep cooking up a storm. (Though I will be creating a few TM7-specific recipes—because hello, giant Varoma!)
