You surely knew this was going to happen didn't you? T'was entirely necessary given that we are in Heal Your Pantry mode at the moment. If you are looking for ways to clean out your pantry of expired goods, this will certainly help on the dried pasta front.

It is also SO quick, can be made to order any night of the week, given the crazy scheduling that happens in families, and cue the salad with it if you must, but this is good old quick comfort food at it's easiest!

Need

Do

1

Place a large pot of water onto your cooktop and bring to the boil with the salt. Do not skip seasoning the water. It needs to cook into the pasta.

2

Cook the spaghetti noodles to al dente, following the package instructions on timing. Drain but reserve some of the pasta cooking water.

3

Meanwhile, place butter and ThermoMite (or go ahead and use vegemite to make it even easier) into the Thermomix bowl and melt 5 min/80°C/speed 3. Add a splash of the hot pasta water and blend 10 sec/speed 8.

4

Toss the noodles and sauce together and serve immediately with lashings of parmesan or other cheese of choice.
