Spiced Chai Crio Bru

Quick, delicious and just a little bit naughty, try this on for size on a cold winter’s day. You can store the premade syrup in the fridge, then simply add it to hot milk on demand…on demand…sounds like my house…or maybe even this blog?? Yes, I am talking to you!

Need

  • 1 cinnamon stick, broken in 2
  • 1 tbsp white peppercorns
  • 10 cardamom pods
  • 1 tbsp fennel seeds
  • 10 cloves
  • 1 vanilla pod, broken in 2
  • 1 Piece fresh ginger, thumb sized
  • 50 g Crio Bru Crio Bru granules (Flavour of choice) BUY
  • 150 g raw sugar or honey
  • 1.2 Litre water
  • 1 - 2 Cup hot milk

Do

Place everything except milk into Thermo bowl and infuse 10 min/90ºC/speed 1.

Let mixture steep for around 10 minutes. Strain or press and add hot milk to serve. Stir through and reheat if necessary.

3  

Add approximately half syrup to hot frothy milk.

More

Serve immediately or store spiced syrup in fridge until use.

4-6 servings.
