Mulled Immunity Booster

Feeling like you need a pick-me-up? Make this warm and tasty mulled-delight and sip those nasties away!

Sometimes you just need an immunity boost, winter, after a hard day’s night, after breakfast, before breakfast. Get it into you...better than mulled wine...almost. This recipe was always a hit at my Comfort Foods classes, hopefully it will hit the spot for you too!

(I didn’t really want to tell you this bit, given we are sharing an immunity boosting moment, but if you wanted to replace the pomegranate juice with red wine...you probably would also feel a little bit boosted!!) As for the ginger oil, this is a recent addition to the healthy arsenal that is this drink. You can skip it, but it does help build your immunity as well. If using, be very careful not to go overboard as it can take over the flavour. Literally one drop does the trick.

Need

  • 1 orange, zest and juice
  • 1 lemon, zest and juice
  • 1 bottle pomegranate juice (750ml)
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 4 cloves
  • 1 star anise
  • 10 Grams NutraOrganics Acai Berry Blend powder
  • 1 Drop doTERRA Oils ginger BUY

Do

Thinly peel the skin without the pith from the orange and lemon. Squeeze the orange and lemon.

Place all ingredients except ginger oil into Thermomix bowl and cook 30 min/80°C/speed 1.

Add ginger oil and stir. Allow flavours to infuse at least 10 minutes before straining and serving in small glasses.
