Berry Good Smoothie
A big part of the pleasure of doing what I do is that lots of lovely people send me yummy stuff to try…and this recipe is all about some superfood Acai Berry Blend powder that was sent to me by the amazing Aussie company, Nutra Organics. (As well as some other goodies like Maca powder which I also love to use as an added boost in my True Energy Bars recipe, and, more importantly, some Superfoods for Kidz sample packs to give away, which incidentally include some samples of the yummola Acai Berry Blend…)
But, I digress; This recipe is about the Acai Berry Blend, which is so fragrant and yummy that I could eat it straight from the jar. It is full of amazing antioxidants, and chock full of blueberries, Goji berries, cranberries, raspberries and blackberries, as well as mango, beetroot, papaya, and pomegranate extracts. It is a delicious addition to this smoothie, which FYI, is going to appear in my new book…do you have the old one yet? I have to say I have purchased other versions of this kind of thing before and have not been that wrapped in the flavour, (I am ALL about the flavour in the end!) but this amazing product is certainly on my shopping list now. It adds oomph to the already fantastic berryness of this smoothie….so do yourself a flavour and get some. AND to get involved in our lovely giveaway, head on over to my Facebook page for details…
I didn’t add it this time around, but another great idea for this smoothie is just a tablespoon of organic coconut oil. Enjoy.
