A Thousand Ways to Eat Rice

Just kidding...(there are not a thousand recipes on my site using rice), but there are a lot. If you have rice in your cupboard, some Cobram EVOO or Pepe Saya Butter, a few herbs in the garden, a pinch or two of Murray River pink salt flakes, then this whole coronavirus panic buying should not leave you in a panic...I certainly am not panicking.

We are all going to survive this and probably quite well if you stay connected to me and the recipes we are putting out there for you to use!

I personally love a slightly chewy rice salad. I love the options and to be honest, if you have a red or black rice, even a brown rice, there is nothing better than a bunch of fresh chopped veggies with the steamed rice, plenty of oil and salt and herbs. I often will make a rice salad and it does double duty as lunch the next day if you make it big enough, though my kids tend to clean it up on the day it is made. They love them as much as I do. So many options, so little time in quarantine!

If you feel as though you want a comforting dish during these crazy days, rice does that for you! I mean, what is risotto all about...at best creamy delicious comfort food, at worst, creamy delicious comfort food! Then there are soups, curries, the list is endless.

Rice of course is also wonderful as dessert and although I am not a big fan of rice pudding, there are a few exceptions and they do appear on my site (naturally!)

So my lovelies, if rice is in your pantry, you really have nothing to worry about. I hope you are all keeping well and feeling upbeat. We shall get through this together!
