Healing Balms

Well this is a bit of a first for me. I have not ventured into non-food recipes before, other than sharing some of Krissy Ballingers excellent work. But as we are in the middle of doTERRA month on the Insider Club, I thought it was time to combine the current need for medicinals and doTERRA's excellent products. These little homemade treats are cute as gifts, smell amazing and cannot hurt you. Let's leave it there shall we?

BENEFITS:

Peppermint Oil: Different forms of peppermint oil or menthol may help treat pain from headaches and migraine attacks when applied on the skin.

Lavender Oil: Studies have found that lavender essential oil can be an effective analgesic and anti-inflammatory.

Lemon Oil: Lemon essential oil is sometimes used in aromatherapy as a natural analgesic. The anti-stress and antidepressant effects of this oil may have something to do with how it helps our bodies interpret our pain without panicking and thus are effective in reducing pain, perceived or otherwise.

Rosemary Oil: Rosemary oil is known in folk medicine as a pain reliever. Preliminary studies support its pain relief benefits and suggest that it may be more effective than over the counter pain relief.

On Guard Oil: On Guard is advertised as a "protective blend,” used to support the immune system and help kill off harmful bacteria and viruses.

Keep refrigerated in warm climates. Use jars that seal well if you plan on taking them in your bag or car and remember, they are entirely made of fat, so will melt in hot conditions.
