Pineapple Ginger Cough and Cold Remedy
OK, this is not delicious. It isn't the worst thing I have tasted, but I wouldn't recommend it as a treat for example. However! It does boast some amazing immunity boosting anti-oxidants that you should really take seriously this flu or any flu season.
What are antioxidants?
In simple terms antioxidants are molecules that keep the free radicals in check within the body. If free radicals elevate the cells of the body can be damaged and then lead into a range of common diseases. Keeping them at the correct level means that you have a good immune system and your body is well balanced.
BENEFITS:
Lemon: Lemons are high in Vitamin C - an antioxidant which assists with the body’s immune function, potassium - good for heart health, and vitamin B6 which helps us change our food into energy. They’re also high fibre (when the pulp is consumed) and have antiviral and antibacterial qualities.
