'I try to under salt' Meghan Sussex

Has anyone watched 'With Love, Meghan' now streaming on Netflix?
Hmmm... If you haven't, let me give you a brief synopsis. Meghan 'I'm a Sussex now' Markle welcomes us into her California home (er no it's actually not her home) to show us how food is her 'love language'. She welcomes in her friends - oh just a Hollywood star, famous chef and make-up artist and takes them through her repertoire of dishes & household favourites - all whilst wearing an ensemble of white, cream, ecru and definitely nothing with any cooking stains.
I'm not going into a rampage of criticism of Megs - you do you babe, BUT, I do have some alternatives to offer Meghan that might be just a little bit more impressive or realistic than her selection.
One of the main questions I have is ... 'Do you have a Thermomix Meghan? Are you getting the TM7?' but, we digress.
Oh and Meghan, I'm here for you - anytime you want to join The Insider Club, we're here to welcome you.
For some kitchen inspiration, all are welcome, including some former royals.
It's not just food items that Meghan rustles up in the kitchen, there's also some bath salts, candles and tea. I've got an array of household items which make great gifts for guests or are wonderful for some self pampering.

Meghan has her friend, Hollywood actress, Mindy Kaling around to show her how she prepares for a kid's party. Mindy is blown away by Meghan's prowess in the kitchen - 'so delicious'. Just saying - we ALL need a friend like Mindy who unleashes praise about EVERYTHING Meghan creates, all whilst reiterating how she would 'hire someone to do this.' 'I'm ready and available for you Mindy!!'
Rainbow fruit platters are good but I raise you on that one Meghan with my selection of kid friendly and kid party options.
My latest book 'The Weekend Table' features a whole chapter dedicated to kid's parties. Chapter two is 'Pretty in Pink' and features all the pink pretties with my Insider Club recipe for fruit syrup jellies. ermine frosting & the perfect pink birthday cake, the classic coconut ice (another Insider Club recipe) & Turkish delight marshmallows. There's classic kids fare too - taken up a notch. Think you know chicken nuggets? ( How could Megs not feature nuggies at a kid's party?) think again with my chicken nuggets recipe.

Next up Meghan has a visit from Korean-American chef Roy Choi and they make his Korean fried chicken. If you're looking for some fried chicken options - look no further! I've got my take on the Colonel's classic eleven herbs & spices chicken & if you want to ditch the frying there's a non-fried chicken version here.

So, did I learn any cooking tips from Meghan? No.
Did I wince at some of the content? A little to a lot.
But I'm all for everyone getting into the kitchen, creating food for their loved ones and giving it a go.
If Meghan gives just one person inspiration in the kitchen, then she's done good in my books.
Right, off to dry some edible flowers.
