WELCOME to Revive and Thrive! We are very excited to have created seven great healthy smoothies for you and your family to reboot and begin your year with our challenge. This is day one for us, but if you are reading this later, or missed the beginning, by all means, create your own schedule with our amazing smoothie selection. They are as colourful as they are delicious. We hope you enjoy them year round and not just over the next seven days!

It may be hard to believe, but I caved and finally bought a Nutribullet for my husband for Christmas. I had resisted the impulse many times despite hearing all sorts of fan reviews from various sources, I mean, I have a Thermomix (or 3) right? Why on earth would I need or ever use a Nutribullet. Let me tell you, I am hooked. It is SO quick on smoothie duty with a very easy clean up. I love it.

My kitchen (which is my work space remember) has often been decimated before I even get in there in the morning due to the green smoothie kick my husband is always on. No more. He can whip up a smoothie for one (or two) in his bullet without using up half the kitchen and a TM bowl. I am delighted. They are so easy to use, clean and drink from. Winning.

The recipes throughout the Revive and Thrive challenge are all great in the Thermomix, but to be honest, just as easy (or easier) if you are using a bullet or similar.

BENEFITS:

Dragonfruit; is a delicious tropical fruit that has become easier to source if you go with a frozen version.
It tastes amazing, is gloriously colourful and supplies essential nutrients, prebiotic fibres and beneficial plant compounds.

Vanilla; Studies suggest that specific compounds in vanilla extract and beans may have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and neuro-protective properties

Bananas may boost your digestion and heart health thanks to their fibre and antioxidant contents. Plus, they may support weight loss because they’re relatively low in calories, nutrient dense, and filling.

Strawberries health benefits include reduced cholesterol, blood pressure, inflammation, and oxidative stress. Furthermore, strawberries may help prevent big spikes in both blood sugar and insulin levels. They are also low in calories.

Coconut milk is a tasty, nutritious and versatile food that is widely available. It can also be made easily at home. It is full of important nutrients like manganese and copper. Including moderate amounts in your diet may boost your heart health.
