I have been hearing about Bunny Chow for years due to the large population of South Africans in Perth. I couldn't quite get my head around it. Basically it is a South African street food, a curry served in a hollowed out loaf of white bread. You use the bread to scoop the curry into your mouth. Not the worst idea ever! There are all sorts of variations on Bunny Chow, the original curry apparently was vegetarian, though now it is common to have fillings with all sorts of things from beef to chicken, to chickpeas to egg! No bunnies in sight! It is common to share a Bunny Chow and to order you will just ask for a quarter lamb (small 1/4 loaf with lamb curry) or a half chicken for half a loaf with chicken curry. You get it!

This is my version and delicious it is! You may need to make more than one loaf. Just saying.
