Neapolitan Ice Cream Bombes
Neapolitan ice-cream is such a thing of my childhood and yet everyone wanted the chocolate strip from the commercial variety, are you with me? It was inevitable that sooner of later this idea had to show up and it is pretty well just an idea rather than a recipe, as you do have to make 3 batches of different ice-cream to get the result. BUT HOW fun are they?
They melted fast, as you can see, so I would just serve them in the moulds or go all out and do the stripey version but horizontally, which means freezing each layer separately as described, before proceeding with the next layer and so on!
Have fun! Still not bubblegum flavour as Maureen has requested many, many years ago, but who knows...that could be next!
