The Purple Smoothie Bowl
Given we have all been whipping up Revive and Thrive smoothies for a few days, I thought it was time you made yourself a treat and got this smoothie bowl happening. A word of warning, it will melt very quickly as there is no animal fat in it to keep it emulsified and together. So if you have leftovers, keep them in the freezer. Having said all that, there is no reason you couldn't make and serve this as smoothies, just like the rest of the week! I hope you are feeling the health flowing through you by now.
Remember, these are not just for the days of the challenge, they are for always. Smoothie yourself into good health this year! We think you can do it with our help!
BENEFITS:
Spirulina fights free radicals and, therefore, can prevent skin damage that can lead to wrinkles and signs of ageing. (SOLD!)
Spinach may decrease oxidative stress, improve eye health, and help prevent heart disease and cancer.
Bananas may boost your digestion and heart health thanks to their fibre and antioxidant contents. Plus, they may support weight loss because they’re relatively low in calories, nutrient dense, and filling.
Blueberries boost your heart health, brain function and numerous other aspects of your body.
Apart from adding amazing flavour to everything, studies suggest that specific compounds in vanilla extract and beans may have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and neuro-protective properties. (Make sure you choose an ethical source of all your vanilla products. Thanks Heilala!)

Blend as long as needed to combine. Never more than 1 minute. You would need to halve this recipe if using the NutriBullet.
