I saw it on Instagram, so it must be true, if you eat 30g of protein within 30 minutes of waking, you will enjoy significant fat loss results...it also involved some exercise at that point, which I may have glossed over, even though I do cycle several 100 kilometres a month!

I have been asked several times for more high protein recipes which is something I am interested in as well. A high-protein diet offers numerous benefits if you are seeking to improve health and fitness. By prioritising protein-rich foods, you can enhance muscle growth, support weight loss, and boost metabolism. Protein helps keep you fuller for longer, reducing cravings and aiding in appetite control. A high protein diet also promotes better recovery after workouts and helps maintain lean muscle mass during weight loss. Additionally, high-protein diets can improve bone health and support overall immune function.

As a not-very-good-breakfast eater, I needed something quick, easy and tasty...voila. The approximate protein count in one serving (let's say 2 of these pancakes is a serving) is around 10g which isn't huge, but if you then added some whipped cream cheese or nut butter with your berries as a topping, you could be looking at a significant increase in that number.

These are so easy it is incredible, double the mixture, halve the mixture, whatever suits your household.

Need

Do

1

Place banana, eggs, peanut butter and salt into the Thermomix bowl and blend 10 sec/speed 6.

2

Preheat a non stick frying pan to a medium high heat. Add a drizzle of EVOO to the hot pan and a splash of the pancake batter. It is a very thin batter, so be careful not to over pour as it will not cook well if too thick.

3

Cook for a few minutes before flipping, these take longer than a flour batter. Be confident when you flip as they are quite fragile, but will set quite well once cooked.

4

Serve with toppings of your choice. Make another batch, because they really are very good!
