This fragrant pastry is just delicious to sub out any plain old pastry for a sweet pie or tart. It is simple and quick to make, rolls beautifully and you will notice the aromatic addition to your palate when you eat it.

- 1 Vanilla - Beans BUY
- 100 g whole almonds
- 25 g golden caster sugar
- 100 g cold butter, cubed
- 150 g plain flour
- 1 egg yolk
Place vanilla bean and almonds onto lined baking tray and into a cold oven set to 200°C. Roast for 10 minutes exactly. Remove and cool.
Place into TM bowl with sugar and mill 10 sec/speed 10.
Add remaining ingredients and blend 10 sec/speed 6.
Tip out onto floured bread mat and roll into a tight ball. Flatten slightly, wrap and rest in the fridge for at least 10 minutes.
Roll as use as recipe directs.
