This super simple dessert syrup can be used in shakes, cocktails, over ice cream, on pancakes or waffles. You name it. Delicious!

Super simple in the extreme, this just requires equal parts of spiced rum and dark brown sugar, cooked until syrupy and sticky. Your biggest problem after making it is what you will serve it with first! We did create this for the Salt and Coffee Baked Pineapple with Rum Sauce but go wild. Check out our suggestions below;

  • 100 Grams dark spiced rum
  • 100 Grams dark brown sugar

Do

Place rum and sugar into the Thermomix bowl and cook 8 min/Varoma/speed 1. Serve immediately.

You could add a pinch of salt, or a tsp of vanilla, but there really is no need if you are using a spiced rum.
