I am pretty sure you will put this on your Christmas menu year after year...(hope you’re using that amazing Menu Builder feature!!) Don’t say I never give you anything!!
- Zest 1 orange
- 750 g pears, peeled, cored and quartered
- 250 g sugar
- 100 g craisins
- 130 g currants
- 50 g glace ginger, chopped
- 60 g flaked almonds
- Juice 1 lemon
- Juice 1 orange
- 1 tsp each ground cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, cardamon
- 2 tbsp brandy (optional)
Place orange zest into TM bowl and chop 10 sec/speed 7.
Add pears and sugar and chop 3 sec/speed 6.
Add remaining ingredients except brandy and cook 35 min/Varoma/Reverse/speed 1. Cool slightly, stir brandy through and set aside until ready to use.
Store in sterilised jars in the fridge until use.
