When you add dark chocolate to a fantastic muesli in a bar, you not only have breakfast on the run, you have a nutritionally dense, delicious bite!

Well it goes without saying that to have Muesli Bars, one must have, well, Muesli….so the same would be true of Granola bars! This is a Muesli/Granola bar recipe and of course, I recommend you first make one of my granola recipes. It is a really quick fix for those of us who stand in front of a microwave and say 'Hurry, Hurry"! Make these in advance and enjoy for weeks. Keep them individually wrapped in the freezer and grab and go! Busy weekday brekkie sorted.

Here are a few of our other bar recipes...maybe not as breakfast, but you get the idea:

Bounty Bars

Raw Muesli Bars

Almond Oat Bars

Almond Butter Bars

True Energy Bars

Raw Caramel Coconut Bars

Do

1

Preheat oven 180ºC on a fan forced setting and line a rectangular baking tin with paper.

2

Place butter, honey and cocoa into the Thermomix bowl and cook for 3 min/100ºC/speed 2.

3

Add granola and blend for 5 sec/Reverse/speed 3-4.

4

Press into prepared pan using MC to smooth the surface. Bake for 25 minutes.

5

Meanwhile, melt the chocolate with the coconut oil either on Induction 3-4 or chop in Thermomix bowl, then melt for 8 min/40°C/speed 2. Stop and scrape down sides of bowl as needed.

6

Drizzle or flick (or absolutely ladle) over surface of cooked Muesli Bars and set until cold. IF you wish to add some additional chopped nuts or oats on top, do this while the chocolate is still setting. Pink salt flakes are also delicious. Cut with a hot knife.
