Graham Cracker Pie Crust
Graham crackers, a staple in many American desserts, were originally created in the early 19th century by Sylvester Graham, a Presbyterian minister and dietary reformer. Graham believed in a whole-grain, vegetarian diet as part of a healthy lifestyle, and his namesake crackers were intended to be a wholesome alternative to processed and refined foods.
However, in Australia, these crackers are hard to come by. So, what did we do? We made our own, of course! If you're in a pinch, Granita biscuits are an excellent substitute, especially for pie crusts. Whether you go with homemade graham crackers or a Granita-based crust, the result is a perfectly crisp and flavorful base that complements a wide variety of sweet fillings;
