Cheddar cheese is a relatively hard, off-white (or orange if spices such as annatto are added), sometimes sharp-tasting (i.e., acidic), natural cheese. Originating in the British village of Cheddar which has massive caves in which the cheese would age back in the day! Cheeses of this style are produced beyond this region and in several countries around the world now. It is the most commonly favourite cheese of a lot of the world’s population.
