balsamic vinegar
Balsamic vinegar originated in Modena Italy. High quality Balsamic is darker and aged (up to 18 years) having been stored in wooden barrels. Traditional aged Modena balsamic has a complex flavour and is a pantry necessity!
The dense viscosity found in high quality versions of the product is typically dripped into a dish and used as a condiment when paired with other oils (olive). It is delicious when drizzled over fresh fruit, aged cheeses and on salads (Caprese).
